A Light For Your Notebook
I have my 15-year old daughter to thank for this one. The power went out at our house while she was working on the home desktop computer. Since my notebook computer could run on battery power, I offered her the option of completing the paper on it. Struggling with a flashlight under my chin to power up and sign on, I offered it to her as well so that she could see her paper and keyboard.
"Oh, I just need it to shine on the paper" was her response. I thought that she felt she was adept at keyboarding that she didn't need a light to see her fingers...but whe did...and said she'd just use the light on the notebook.
What light?
She depressed the Function Key (FN) and simultaneously depressed the Page Up Key (PgUp) and a light turned on at the top of the notebook screen in order illuminate her keyboard.
Your notebook may be a little different, or it may not have a light at all.
But for me, it certainly was an illuminating experience.
